Mike Hilts joins the team at CES Partners Ltd. eager to continue creating value for clients from a solid work ethic and intense passion for providing the utmost in customer service. He builds upon 30 successful years in a variety of management, editorial and sales roles for several publishers of national, high quality special interest B2B and consumer magazines including Health Management Technology, the preeminent IT magazine in the field serving the information needs of CIOs and other c-level executives in hospitals and health systems.

Prior to joining CES Partners, Mike most recently served as principal of his own media consultancy, Results Media. His projects tackled such diverse publishing challenges as magazine start-ups; development of new online and e-media products; converting an ad sales team from independent reps to in-house, and repurposing editorial content for an audience of C-level executives.

Mike’s broad background encompasses recruitment and hiring professional talent to serve in dozens of editorial, sales, production, creative, and management posts. He exhibits a deep understanding of both the needs of individuals as well as objectives of the corporation. He has coached and mentored teams through startups, repositions and mergers & acquisitions. And, he is a solid analyst about a company’s strengths & weaknesses and matching personnel to maximize the organization’s growth and potential.

Mike’s own media and consulting career was practically pre-ordained. He grew up surrounded by media professionals. His father was an editor at Popular Mechanics, as well as a public relations agency consultant and a freelance writer of both fiction and non-fiction books; three of his siblings are career media executives and consultants.  Mike’s media career began at age 12, writing and editing news stories in long-hand at the end of the family dining room table under the watchful guidance of his father.
